Composition:Visceralgine suppositories
For one suppository contains:
Timonium methyl sulfate........................ 20 mg
Purified water.......................................102 mg
Solid hemi - synthetic glycerides......s.f. 1800 mg

Each tablet contains:
Timonium methyl sulfate........................50 mg

Each ampoule contains:
Timonium methyl sulfate.......................5mg/2ml

Each 5 ml syrup:
Timonium methyl sulfate.......................10 mg

Properties:Visceralgine ampoules
Timonium mixed antispasmodic
Musculotropic.
Anticholenergic (1 / 50th of the effect of atropine at identical molar concentration).

Indications:
Symptomatic treatment of pain related to functional disorders of the digestive tract and biliary system.
Treatment of spasm and pain in the urinary tract and in gynecology

Contraindications:
Urethroprostatic disorders involving a risk of urine retention.
Risk of angle-closure glaucoma.

Precautions:
Pregnancy and breast-feeding:
The results of animal studies of Timonium did not reveal any teratogenic effects.
Although these results do not prejudge the effects in man, no deformities have been reported up till now with normal use.
In the absence of sufficient data, prudence should be the rule for nursing mothers although no problems have been reported with normal use.
Effects on ability to drive vehicles or operate machines: None.
Interactions with drugs and other interactions: None.

Precautions For Use:Visceralgine Supp.
IV Injection should be slow to reduce the risk of tachycardia.

Dosage and administration:
Suppository form:
In adults the usual dosage is 1-2 suppositories per day.

Injectable form:
In adults, the usual dosage is one ampoule by slow IM or IV injection, three times / 24 hours

Note: The effect of the injectable form may be reinforced by administration of 1 or 2 suppositories /24 hours.

Overdosage:
Symptoms:
Appearance of atropine-like effects: dry mouth, constipation. Tachycardia, and in elderly patients, confusion.
Treatment :
Symptomatic treatment in intensive care unit with cardiac and respiratory monitoring.

Effect On Ability To Drive Vehicles Or Operate Machines:Visceralgine Syrup
None.

Interactions With Drugs And Other Interactions:
None.

None.

Undesirable Effects:
Risk of hypotension and tachycardia if injection is rapid.

Storage:
Keep at temp. not exceeding 30°C.
Keep away of reach of children.

Packing:
6 suppositories / box
Film coated tablets: Box of 20 tablets.
Syrup: bottle of 120 ml.
Ampoules: Box of 3 ampoules.
