 =
Healthy meal plan that nutrition experts recommend to everyone.

No need to eat special foods or give up favorite treats,
By knowing information about food kinds and their effect you can create a healthy and appetizing meal plan for your child.

Kinds of nutrients
Three kinds of nutrients that your child needs to have in the foods.
Carbohydrates, Protein, and Fat

Carbohydrates Proteins Fats

Carbohydrates give energy fast.
Carbohydrates are the body's main source of fuel
Your child's digestive system turns carbohydrates into sugar quickly and easily. That sugar feeds all the cells in body.
Your child can get carbohydrates from
breads and grains, fruits, and vegetables Sugar is also a carbohydrate.

Proteins act like the tools a car mechanic uses. They repair and build tissue in your child's body. That helps keep child strong. Proteins can also be used for fuel, but it takes double the time to change proteins to sugar. Your child can get protein in meat, milk, nuts, and some kinds of beans

Fats are reserve fuel,.
Fat is basically concentrated energy (double the calories of carbohydrates or proteins)
They help your child's body absorb certain vitamins
Help the cells send signals to the rest of her body.
Children don't need a lot of fat every day. Too much can make your child overweight→ clog there blood vessels.
Fat is found in butter and margarine, oils, most meats, eggs, whole milk, chocolate, and any foods cooked in butter or oil.

The Food Pyramid

The food pyramid is an easy way to remember the healthiest way to eat.

The food your child needs most is at the bottom.

The food your child needs less towards the top of the pyramid.

At the very top is food that's not all that good therefore shouldn't eat these foods every day.
