Composition:
Each sachet contains:
Ascorbic acid.........1 g

Properties:
Ascorbic acid is a water soluble vitamin, it is essential for biological oxidations and reductions used in cellular respiration.
Ascorbic acid is important for the formation and maintenance of the cellular ground substance And collagen and hence promote healing of wounds.
Ascorbic acid deficiency  is characterized by:
► Capillary fragility.
► Bleeding-especially from the small blood vessels and the gums.
► Anemia.
► Cartilages and bones lesions.
► Slow healing of wounds.
► Febrile states, chronic illness and infections increase the the need of Ascorbic acid. Smoking is also decrease the Ascorbic acid serum levels and may increase it requirements.
Ascorbic acid is widely distributed in the body tissues and it is reported to be about 25% bound to the plasma protein.
Ascorbic acid in excess of the body needs is rapidly eliminated in urine.
Ascorbic acid crosses the placenta and is excreted in the breast milk.
Vitamin C effervescent instant is a  pharmaceutical form that ensures rapid dissolution;maximal absorption and high bioavailability with optimum stability in a perfectly calibrated dose.
Vitamin C effervescent instant supplies ascorbic acid in a palatable drink.

Indications:
► Prophylaxis and treatment of scurvy.
► Iron deficiency anemia, to enhance the absorption of iron.
► Conditions of febrile states, chronic illness and infections (e.g. common cold, influenza, rheumatic fever….etc)
► Gingivitis, bleeding gums, loosened teeth.

Precautions:
Diabetics and patients prone to recurrent renal calculi should not take excessive dose of vitamin C over an extended period time.

Dosage and administration:
Dissolve the content of the sachet in half glass of water and drink during effervescence before or during the meal.
