Why this combination of K+ sparing & loop diuretics in Spiromide?
AASLD Practices Guideline recommends diuretic regimen consists of single morning dose of oral 100mg Spironolactone and 40mg of Furosemide to control the oedema since Spironolactone (K+ sparing) minimizes electrolyte and metabolic alterations exerted by loop diuretics.
