Sedo-Mag SuspensionComposition:
Each teaspoonful (5 ml) contains:
Magaldrate .............................. 480mg
Simethicone ............................ 100mg
Sodium alginate ........................ 50mg

Properties:
Sedomag combines three active ingredient:
Magaldrate is a combination of aluminum and magnesium hydroxide sulphate.
It provides the advantages of a true buffer antacid and not simply a neutralizing agent. It has a rapid action with high acid consuming capacity but without alkalinization or acid rebound.

Simethicone reduces the surface tension of gas bubbles, causing thrm to coalesce. in antacid preparation simethicone showed marked defoaming properties.
Sodium alginate is slowly soluble in water forming viscous colloidal solution. It is used with antacid in management of gastro-esophageal reflux.

Indications:
For the relief of upset stomach associated with heartburn, sour stomach and / or acid indigestion.
For the relief of hyperacidity associated with peptic ulcer, gastritis, peptic esophagitis and hiatal hemia.
For gastro-esophageal reflux.
For the relief of flatulence and meteorism.
For the elimination of gas air or foam from the GIT prior to radiography.
For postoperative gas pain and for use in endoscopic examinations.

Precautions:
Some medical conditions may interact with Magaldrate/Simethicone Suspension. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have any medical conditions, especially if any of the following apply to you:
You are allergic to any ingredient in Magaldrate/Simethicone Suspension
if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding
You are a patient with kidney problems except under the advice & supervision of a physician
if you are on a low-magnesium diet

Drug interactions:
Some MEDICINES MAY INTERACT with Magaldrate/Simethicone Suspension. Tell your health care provider if you are taking any other medicines, especially any of the following:
Anticoagulants (eg, warfarin), citrate salts (found in some calcium supplements, antacids, and laxatives), or quinidine
    because their actions and side effects may be increased by Magaldrate/Simethicone Suspension
Bisphosphonates (eg, alendronic acid), cation exchange resins (eg, sodium polystyrene sulfonate), cephalosporins (eg,
    cefaclor), imidazoles (eg, fluconazole), mycophenolate, penicillamine, quinolones (eg, ciprofloxacin), tetracyclines (eg,
    doxycycline), or thyroid hormones because their effectiveness may be decreased by Magaldrate/Simethicone Suspension

Dosage and administration:
The bottle containing the preparation should be shaken thoroughly before use.
One or two teaspoonfuls between meals and at bedtime.

Side effects:
there is no side effects.

Warning:
Keep at temperature not exceeding 30°C.
Keep out of reach of children.
