Chlorpheniramine
(Oral solution)

Composition:
Each teaspoonful (5 ml ) contains:
Chlorpheniramine maleate................ 2 mg

Properties:
Chlorpheniramine maleate is a potent antihistaminic with marked anti-allergic effect. This activity is reinforced by the ability of chlorpheniramine maleate to lower mucosal permeability and to block the pathogenic mechanism of allergic rhinitis.

Symptomatic treatment of all forms of allergy including:

Precautions:
Like all antihistaminics, chlorpheniramine maleate, impairs the patients reactions e.g. when operating machinery, driving a vehicle ,etc... In pregnancy and lactation chlorpheniramine maleate should be given only when strictly indicated.

Side Effects:
Fatigue, drowsiness, vertigo or gastro-intestinal disorders may occur.

Dosage & route of administration & duration:
Adults:
One tablespoonful 3 or 4 times daily.

Children:
Age Dosage
Up to 1 year 1/2 teaspoonful twice daily.
1 - 5 years 1/2 to one teaspoonful three times daily
6 -12 years one to two teaspoonfuls 3 - 4 times daily

Storage:
  • Keep at temperature not exceeding 30ºC.
  • Keep out of reach of children.

Presentation:
Bottle of 100 ml or 120 ml.
