water and then diluted in normal saline and given
as:
Priming infusion dose
4400 IU / kg at rate of 90 ml / h over 10
minutes
Followed by
Continuous infusion dose
4400 IU/ kg / hour at a rate of 15 ml each
hour for 12 - 24 hours

intravenous or dialysis cannulas
