| Properties: |
Calcium instant is a
new pharmaceutical form that ensures optimum
stability, rapid dissolution, maximal
absorption, high bioavailability in a
perfectly calibrated dosage.
Calcium instant is highly micronized
in an optimal readily ionizable form.
Calcium instant combines three active
ingredients in proper concentration
Calcium plays important physiological roles
and is essential for the functional
integrity of nerve and muscle, where it has
release of neurotransmitters. It is
necessary for muscle contraction, cardiac
function maintenance of the integrity of
membranes and coagulation of the blood.
In addition calcium mediates the
intracellular action of many hormones.
Vitamin D3 is completely and more
rapidly absorbed from the small intestine
than other forms of Vitamin D. Its presence
in adequate concentration increases
intestinal calcium absorption.
Vitamin C is the natural
preservative for cell membrane It also
protects calcium from interaction with
phytic acid, phosphate and tannate thus
keeping it dissolved in the solution.

| Indications: |
►During
childhood, pregnancy and lactation to
overcome the increased demand for calcium.
►Osteomalacia,
rickets, post menopausal and senile
osteoporosis.
►Cases of
excessive loss or reduced absorption of
calcium such as in prolonged treatment with
corticosteroids, in cases of gastrectomy and
in hypoparathyrodism.
►Renal
osteodystrophy
►Chronic renal
failure
►Allergic
conditions as adjuvant therapy.
N.B. As the product is free from
sodium and glucose therefore it can be
prescribed to hypertensive and diabetic
patients. |
| Contraindications: |
Minor gastrointestinal disturbance rarely
occurs.
Hypercalcaemia, hypercalciuria, calcium
renal calculi.

| Precautions: |
In patients prone to
formation of renal calculi it is advised to
increase the fluid intake.
|
| Dosage & route of
administration & duration: |
Dissolve the content of
sachet in half glass of water to get a
palatable effervescent solution and drink
immediately.
►Adults:
1-2 sachets daily.
►Children:
1/2-1 sachet daily.
