Terbtaline sulfate ................. 1.5mg
Each tablet contains:
Terbtaline sulfate ................. 2.5mg
Properties:
Terbtaline sulfate is a
selective beta_adrenoceptor stimulant, with
selective bronchodilator action. It is more
selectively acting on the B2 _receptors of
the tracheal and bronchial smooth muscles
but its effect is relatively weak on the
B1_receptors of the heart; therefore
palpitations seldom occurs.

asthma, chronic
bronchitis,
emphysema and other bronchopulmonary
disorders involving
bronchospasm.

amines.
hypersensitivity to any of the constituents.
Sleep disturbances and behavioral effects
have been observed
Drug interactions:
Beta blockers especially nonselective e.g. propranolol may
partially or totally inhibit the effect of
beta stimulants so avoid concomitant use.
Use with caution in patients receiving other
sympathomimetics.
With corticosteroid: increased risk of hypokalaemia.
Diuretic increased risk of hypokalaemia.

Possible symptoms and signs: headache, anxiety,
tremors, tonic cramp, palpitations.
arrhythmias, fall in blood pressure.

hyperglycemia and lactic acidosis may occur.

peptic ulcer.
Care should be taken in patients suffering
from myocardial in sufficiency or
thyrotoxicosis and in diabetic patients.
